I Sacrificed Everything to Support My Husband’s Dream, Only to Discover He Wasted It on His Mistress

At sunrise, I watched Jake sleep peacefully—untouched by the bills we couldn’t pay. “I’m depositing the money today,”

I reminded him. He smiled, spun dreams of a farm, fame, and a better school for our son, Benny.

I’d just sold my late parents’ lake house and planned to empty my savings—for our dream. As I left, we’d accidentally swapped phones. At the bus stop, a call lit up: ALEX. I didn’t know an Alex.

“Hey baby,” a woman’s voice purred. “I’ve been waiting all night…”

My blood ran cold.Instead of the bank, I sat in a café, scrolling Jake’s texts. “Miss you already.” “Can’t wait to start our life.”

I went home, placed his phone on the table, and waited. He grabbed it and left with a kissless goodbye.

I followed him to a house. A blonde woman hugged him tightly. When he left, I knocked.

“I’m Jake’s wife,” I told her.

“Wife?” she gasped.

Jake had promised her a future too. She’d sold her inheritance, just like I had.

“We let him think he still has us,” I said. “Then take back what’s ours.”

We staged a meeting. I hid in a wig nearby. Jake charmed her, asked about money. She dropped her napkin—my cue.

I stepped in. “Hi, honey.”

His face froze.

“I didn’t send a cent,” I told him, tossing a dollar on the table.

Alex and I walked away, smiling.

“Pizza?” she asked.

“With wine,” I said.

Two women, finally free. Reclaiming our power—together.
