Last week, a devastating accident on the Rodovia do Sol left the local community in shock and grief. The incident occurred when a young couple, who were stopped on the shoulder to change a flat tire , were struck by a speeding vehicle . Military Police were called to respond to the incident and, upon arriving, found a harrowing scene.

Accident Details
According to the Military Police, the couple’s car was a Chevrolet Cruze, while the other vehicle involved in the collision was a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck . Police reported that the driver of the S10 showed clear signs of intoxication, raising concerns about his ability to drive. He was immediately taken to the police station after the accident.

When the police arrived, the Fire Department was already on the scene, providing assistance to the victims. Three people in the Chevrolet Cruze were quickly taken to local hospitals. Among them was the brother of one of the young women, Ingrid, who was also injured in the accident. The driver of the S10 was no longer present when emergency responders arrived.
