A tragic traffic accident on the Juan Pablo Segundo Highway, near the entrance to La Reforma on the Samaná road, resulted in the death of a man and left several people injured.
The victim was identified as Jorge Iván Cáceres Fernández, originally from Moca, who was driving a white Ford SUV.
A woman identified as Vilma Santana was also traveling in the vehicle and was seriously injured. Initial reports indicate that the SUV collided with a rice truck. The truck’s occupants suffered only minor injuries.
The accident occurred near the Don Francisco rest stop, on the stretch that connects Santo Domingo with Samaná.
