His Final Plea From a Hospital Bed… Judge Frank Caprio’s Last Words Before Passing at 88

Judge Frank Caprio, known to millions as “the nicest judge in the world,” has passed away at the age of 88. 💔

Just hours before his death, the Rhode Island judge recorded one last video message from his hospital bed — and it has left the world in tears. 🙏

“I’m coming to you again asking you to remember me in your prayers once more,” Caprio said softly, with visible strength despite his failing health. “So I ask you again if it’s not too much that you can remember me in your prayers.”

The emotional plea was his final goodbye to the millions of people who followed him online, many of whom credit him for restoring their faith in kindness and humanity. Known from the hit Emmy-nominated show Caught in Providence, Caprio’s gentle compassion in the courtroom earned him a global reputation as a judge with a heart.

Caprio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2023 and had been candidly sharing his battle with his 3.2 million Instagram followers. From ringing the bell after finishing radiation, to announcing a book, he never stopped inspiring others with his courage. 💪
