Angie Stone’s Family Sues After Fatal Crash

Beloved R&B singer Angie Stone, 63, died in March 2025 after a tragic highway accident in Alabama.

Stone initially survived when the van she was riding in overturned. But as she tried to exit,

a tractor-trailer struck the van, ejecting her and fatally pinning her underneath.

Now, her children — Diamond Stone and Michael D’Angelo Archer — have filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Georgia.

The suit targets the van and truck drivers, the trucking company CSRT, and manufacturer Daimler Truck North America.

It alleges negligence, claiming the truck driver was distracted, possibly wearing headphones,

and that the vehicle’s collision-mitigation system failed to prevent the crash.

Stone’s passing shocked fans and the music industry. She first gained recognition with pioneering
