Tommy Norman, a well-known 27-year veteran of the North Little Rock Police Department, has been arrested following an incident at his home. On September 13, 2025, Norman was booked into the Pulaski County Jail on a charge of third-degree domestic battery after an argument with his wife reportedly turned physical. Court records indicate that the altercation left her with a minor injury.
According to the arrest affidavit, Norman claimed that the incident was an accident and insisted that he acted in self-defense. Nevertheless, authorities placed him in custody without bond. His next scheduled court appearance is set for November 6, where the case will be reviewed in detail.
In the wake of the arrest, the North Little Rock Police Department announced that Norman has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. The department emphasized that all officers, regardless of rank or reputation, are held accountable under the same standards of law. (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
