Dolly Parton has postponed her Las Vegas residency, just months after losing her husband, Carl Dean. On September 28, 2025, the country legend shared on Instagram that she was facing health challenges requiring “a few procedures.” Her doctors advised against rehearsals, forcing her to reschedule six shows originally set for December 2025 at Caesars Palace. The concerts will now take place in September 2026, with tickets honored or refunded.
Fans quickly rallied with prayers and encouragement. One wrote, “Prayers Dolly, you have given so much. Now it’s time to give back to yourself.” Another added, “Sending you love and light for strength and healing.” Despite the delay, Parton reassured followers she would continue working on projects from her Nashville home and had no plans to step away from music.
The news comes after the March 2025 death of Dean, her husband of nearly 60 years. Though she didn’t mention him in her latest statement, earlier this year she honored him with a song, “If You Hadn’t Been There,” and a nostalgic photo tribute.
