A chaotic scene erupted in New York City when a car suddenly exploded amid an ongoing building fire, injuring several firefighters and scattering debris across the street.
Witnesses reported hearing a “huge explosion” that rattled nearby buildings as emergency crews were already fighting fierce flames. Footage from the scene shows firefighters diving for safety as the vehicle bursts into a fireball, filling the area with dense black smoke.
Authorities have confirmed that several firefighters were hurt in the incident, though the severity of their injuries has not yet been determined.
