Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro is sounding off after Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019 interview on Fox News, calling it a \u201cfull-scale disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fox News anchor Bret Baier held his highly anticipated interview on Wednesday with Harris and it did not pull any punches. Harris has several moments where she dodged questions and got very testy when she was forced to defend her record as vice president.<\/p>\n
Shapiro said the interview was worse than he expected and that it could hurt her presidential campaign.WATCH BELOW..<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWow, wow, wow, wow, wow. I thought it was not going to be great. I did not think it was going to be that not great,\u201d Shapiro said.<\/p>\n \u201cSo listen, Kamala Harris has been avoiding difficult interviews this entire election cycle. The most difficult interview she did was with Bill Whitaker, and \u201860 Minutes\u2019 chopped it up to make her look better. That did not happen with Bret Baier and it was a full-scale disaster area for her,\u201d Shapiro continued.<\/p>\n Shapiro then noted several of Harris\u2019s worst moments, starting with the first topic of the interview, which was immigration. Baier questioned Harris about the Biden administration\u2019s decision to reverse dozens of executive orders on border policy that the Trump administration had put in place. He also asked Harris what effect that decision had on the huge wave of illegal immigration that has happened in the last four years.WATCH BELOW..<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cShe immediately swiveled. She will not answer the question,\u201d Shapiro said. \u201cShe won\u2019t just say, listen, we blew it at the beginning. We reversed Donald Trump\u2019s executive orders. We got it right now. We understand the problem. \u2026 But she can\u2019t do that because she also wants to say that she owns it, that she was involved in every decision.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about her plan to \u201cturn the page\u201d on her time as vice president, why almost 80% of Americans think the country is on the \u201cwrong track,\u201d her support for taxpayer-funded sex change surgeries for illegal immigrants and prisoners, her defense of President Joe Biden\u2019s mental health, and other things, Harris had a hard time. During the whole interview, she mostly chose to talk about former President Donald Trump instead of answering questions about her work in the Biden administration.<\/p>\n \u201cMan, she looked bad,\u201d Shapiro said. \u201cShe looked absolutely awful. She looked contentious. She looked angry at Bret Baier for having the temerity to ask her any sort of serious question. She\u2019s got to be super ticked at her team for suggesting that she do Bret Baier in the first place. She\u2019s unwilling or unable to answer any question about policy at all in this election cycle.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe only thing she\u2019s got at all in this election cycle, the only thing she\u2019s got and everybody knows it is\u201d talking about Trump, he continued. \u201cBut here is the problem: the minute you dig below the surface, what you realize is that she is an empty vessel for the entire Biden administration agenda. And she\u2019s not particularly smart. She doesn\u2019t know her own policies well enough to make cogent and interesting distinctions about how her policies work.
