Vice President Kamala Harris was labeled a \u201cwar criminal\u201d by a protester blowing a whistle on Wednesday, as her third campaign event in less than 24 hours was interrupted by anti-Israel activists.<\/p>\n
During her afternoon rally in Harrisburg, Pa., Harris, 60, at one point admonished the activists opposed to Israel\u2019s invasion of the Gaza Strip, telling them, \u201cRight now I am speaking!\u201d as the event started to spiral out of control.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are six days out from an election. We are six days away from an election, and ours is about the fight for democracy and your right to be heard,\u201d the veep said after a round of antiwar chants.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone has the right to be heard, but right now, I am speaking!\u201d she said to raucous applause, repeating a phrase she has been using since her lone debate with then-Vice President Mike Pence in 2020.<\/p>\n
Shortly thereafter, another protester blew a whistle and then shouted: \u201cYou\u2019re a war criminal!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love our democracy. It can be complicated at times, but it\u2019s the best system in the world,\u201d Harris said in response.<\/p>\n
During an earlier event in Raleigh, N.C., another man interrupted her, yelling, \u201cKamala Harris, you have disrespected the Palestinian community!\u201d<\/p>\n
