Four old retired guys are walking down a street in Cooktown:<\/p>\n
They turned a corner and see a sign that says,<\/p>\n
\u2018Old Timer\u2019s Bar \u2013 All drinks 10 cents\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n They look at each other and then go in, thinking this is too good to be true.<\/p>\n The old bartender says in a voice that carries across the room.<\/p>\n \u201cCome on in and let me pour one for you! What\u2019ll it be, Gentlemen?\u201d<\/p>\n There seemed to be a fully-stocked bar, so each of the men ask for a martini.<\/p>\n In short order, the bartender serves up four iced martinis shaken, not stirred and says.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019ll be 10 cents each, please.\u201d<\/p>\n The four men stare at the bartender for a moment.<\/p>\n Then look at each other.<\/p>\n They can\u2019t believe their good luck.<\/p>\n They pay the 40 cents, finish their martinis and order another round.<\/p>\n Again, four excellent martinis are produced and the bartender again saying.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s 40 cents, please.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n They pay the 40 cents, but their curiosity is more than they can stand. Finally one of the men says. \u201cHow can you afford to serve martinis as good as these for a 10 cents each?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a retired tailor from Sydney.\u201d The bartender said. \u201cAnd I always wanted to own a bar. Last year I hit the Lottery for $25 million and decided to open this place. Every drink costs 10 cents, wine, liquor, beer, it\u2019s all the same.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWow! \nThey have each had two martinis and so far they\u2019ve spent less than a dollar.<\/p>\n
