President-elect Donald Trump has been projected to win Arizona, meaning he won every battleground state over Kamala Harris in the 2024 race.<\/p>\n
With the call in Arizona, Trump has won all seven competitive states: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Arizona.<\/p>\n
Trump now has 312 Electoral College votes, which is the most of any candidate.<\/p>\n
Polling leading up to the election showed that the race was very close. Trump was ahead of Harris by an average of 2.8 points going into Election Day. In Arizona, a little more money has been spent on election ads this year than it did in 2020.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2020, $427 million was spent in the state by both parties for all political races. That number has now increased to $487 million spent in the state for all political races, with Democrats spending $308 million to $147 million for Republicans. For the 2024 presidential race in the state, Democrats outspent Republicans $122 million to $83 million,\u201d the Daily Wire noted.<\/p>\n
Vice President-elect J.D. Vance was fired up after Trump has been declared the winner over Harris.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Vance thanked his family and supporters after Republicans had a fantastic election night.<\/p>\n
\u201cTHANK YOU! To my beautiful wife for making it possible to do this. To President Donald J. Trump, for giving me such an opportunity to serve our country at this level. And to the American people, for their trust. I will never stop fighting for ALL of you,\u201d Vance tweeted.<\/p>\n
Trump said \u201cGod spared [his] life for a reason\u201d during his victory speech at Trump Headquarters early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n
Trump, who has been the target of two assassination attempts since July, shared his appreciation for a second presidency during his 25-minute speech from West Palm Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again. And in addition to having won the battleground states of North Carolina \u2014 I love these places \u2014 Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, we are now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which would result in us carrying at least 315 electoral votes. But it\u2019s much easier doing what the networks did, or whoever called it, because there was no other path. There was no other path to victory. We also have won the popular vote. That was great. That was great,\u201d Trump said as the crowd cheered and chanted \u201cUSA! USA!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMany people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd now we are going to fulfill that mission together.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you. Thank you very much. Winning the popular vote was very nice, I will tell you. It\u2019s a great feeling of love. We have a great feeling of love in this very large room, with unbelievable people standing by my side. These people have been incredible. They have made the journey with me and we are going to make you very happy. We will make you very proud of your vote,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope that you\u2019re going to be looking back someday and say, \u2018That was one of the truly important moments of my life, when I voted for this group of people, beyond the president. This group of great people.\u2019 America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate. Wow, that\u2019s great,\u201d Trump declared.<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cThe task before us will not be easy, but I will bring every ounce of energy, spirit, and fighting that I have in my soul to the job that you\u2019ve entrusted to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are going to fix our borders, we are going to fix everything about our country. We made history for a reason tonight, and the reason is going to be just that. We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible, and it\u2019s now clear that we have achieved the most incredible political \u2014 look what happened. Is this crazy?\u201d Trump declared.<\/p>\n
