Women voters explained to former CNN host Don Lemon why they don\u2019t support Vice President Kamala Harris and why they are endorsing former President Donald Trump in a video posted on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
CNN senior data reporter Harry Enten noted on Friday that women are a key factor in Harris\u2019s momentum, as she leads Trump by an 11-point margin among female voters nationally. This is a significant increase from the four-point lead President Joe Biden had among women before he exited the race on July 21.<\/p>\n
Some women have expressed that their lives were better under Trump, however, and are critical of Harris, telling Lemon that they do not want to vote for her based solely on her race and gender.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going for Trump. I feel like every time they don\u2019t want somebody who is good for us to win, they throw somebody black in our face thinking that\u2019s going to make us vote for the black person,\u201d a black woman told Lemon. \u201cKamala was on Biden\u2019s team, and I don\u2019t like Biden. Gas wasn\u2019t this high when Trump was our president. Food wasn\u2019t this high.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI voted for Obama because he was black. I don\u2019t want to vote for her because she\u2019s the first black woman to run for president or to win,\u201d another black woman told Lemon. \u201cIt has to change. And now I vote more for what fits me better as a person rather than voting for the black person or voting for the first woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, a white woman apologized for supporting Trump, leading Lemon to ask why. \u201cWell, I know nobody likes him, but we had good times with Donald Trump,\u201d she said. She also told Lemon she doesn\u2019t \u201clike the way [Harris] speaks, the giddiness, the laughing. Everything\u2019s a joke and it\u2019s not a joke. We\u2019re in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n
