Podcaster Steve Bannon and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) discussed President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s historic victory this week during a segment on his show Tuesday evening, as both vowed to go after Jan. <\/p>\n
6 Committee co-chair Liz Cheney, now a former GOP lawmaker from Wyoming.<\/p>\n
\u201cMTG, you\u2019ve been with us from the beginning as a fighter. Give us your thoughts tonight on this historic night,\u201d began Bannon, a former Trump White House adviser and campaign manager.<\/p>\n
\u201cI tell you what Steve, this is the greatest thing. I\u2019ve been so excited. We\u2019ve been here at Mar-a-Lago everyone\u2019s losing their mind. We\u2019re celebrating, partying. But I knew this was going to happen,\u201d replied Greene.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmerica was not going to tolerate the communist regime destroying our freedoms, ripping our borders wide open, trying to turn our kids trans, and promoting abortion as reproductive rights. America is done with it.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re fed up with a weaponized government, and we\u2019re winning big tonight. And President Trump is going back to the White House,\u201d the Georgia Republican continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy the way, I have a hat tip for you. You stayed in Georgia and said, I\u2019m committed to delivering Georgia for President Trump. Talk to me about Georgia tonight because it was a blowout win,\u201d Bannon followed up.<\/p>\n
\u201cHuge win in Georgia. You know, I stayed on the ground in my home state. It was so important to me to deliver delivered for President Trump. And so that\u2019s what I did. And we came through. And I\u2019m so proud of everyone in Georgia. Everyone worked hard. They knocked doors. They made sure everyone got out the vote early. <\/p>\n
Most importantly, Steve, they were poll watchers watching our elections. We have to continue to fight for election integrity. <\/p>\n
That fight will never be over because the Democrats will steal elections if they\u2019re given the opportunity. But I think Republicans finally learned how to win elections and we just have to keep it going,\u201d Greene replied.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongressman Greene, you\u2019ve done so much work. You\u2019re such a you\u2019re such a fighter. Now, is there truth to the rumor that you\u2019re going to take over at DHS,\u201d Bannon said, referencing earlier reports regarding Greene saying she wanted to run Homeland Security.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen, Steve. We\u2019re just thrilled to have President Trump back in the White House because everyone knows what that means. We\u2019re going to dismantle the deep state. We\u2019re going to end the weaponized government. We\u2019re going to pardon the J6\u2019ers. That\u2019s extremely important.<\/p>\n
And we are going to restore peace and prosperity back for the American people. And we\u2019re going to end those foreign wars and we\u2019re going to end the climate change scam. Everything\u2019s going to be restored. We\u2019re so excited,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongressman Greene, the American people rejected tonight the entire narrative about J6. You\u2019re committed with me that we\u2019re going to work like crazy to make sure that we get a pardon for the J6 individuals and also go after those people that persecuted them,\u201d Bannon noted further.<\/p>\n
\u201cAbsolutely. I mean, look at what Liz Cheney did with the January 6th committee. Bennie Thompson, Nancy Pelosi. They totally abused the power of Congress and persecuted people, not just President Trump, but people like you, Peter Navarro, Trump staff, many people that worked in his administration, but also ordinary citizens,\u201d Greene said.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cAnd it was so wrong. And then what they did through the FBI raiding these people\u2019s home, what they did at the Department of Justice and continuing to do Matthew Graves in particular. Just get this straight.<\/p>\n
U.S. Attorney for D.C.] Matthew Graves is about to be fired. And that\u2019s that\u2019s one of the people that deserves to be held accountable for what he has done to ordinary Americans. They never did this to Antifa violent rioters.<\/p>\n
