Famous podcaster Joe Rogan recently sounded off on \u201cThe View,\u201d calling the panel of predominantly liberal co-hosts a \u201crabies-infested henhouse\u201d after an interview with author Coleman Hughes. During the broadcast, <\/p>\n
Hughes was derided for his opinion on contemporary race relations, where co-host Sunny Hosting suggested he was a \u201ccharlatan\u201d and a \u201cpawn\u201d for his views.<\/p>\n
Hughes recently released a book earlier this year called, \u201cThe End of Race Politics: Arguments for a Colorblind America,\u201d where it is evident by the title of his work that he disagrees with current ideologies such as <\/p>\n
Critical Race Theory and other left-wing political obsessions that group individuals based on their immutable characteristics.<\/p>\n
According to Hughes, to solve inequalities that exist across American society, people should be treated \u201cwithout regard to race,\u201d but instead based on their socio-economic status. However, Hostin took issue with the author\u2019s argument, claiming his book is \u201cfundamentally flawed,\u201d stating his desire for colorblind treatment of Americans has been \u201cco-opted\u201d by the right.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany in the black community, if I\u2019m being honest with you, because I want to be, believe that you are being used as a pawn by the right and that you\u2019re charlatan of sorts,\u201d Hostin told Hughes during the segment. Hughes calmly disagreed with the assertion, disputing the idea that Hostin suggested he was a \u201cpawn\u201d for conservatives.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s any evidence I\u2019ve been co-opted by anyone and I think that\u2019s an ad-hominem tactic people use to not address, really, the important conversations we\u2019re having here,\u201d Hughes rebutted.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, it is the show that people love to hate,\u201d the 56-year-old podcaster said after Hughes\u2019 told him how much attention he\u2019s been receiving from people siding with him since the segment aired. Following his appearance on \u201cThe View,\u201d Hughes sat down for an interview with Joe Rogan, where the matter was addressed.<\/p>\n
Rogan did not hold back in expressing his disdain toward \u201cThe View\u201d asserting that the co-hosts on the show say \u201cridiculous things.\u201d Hughes explained to Rogan that he \u201cdidn\u2019t know who Sunny Hostin was before going on \u201cThe View,\u201d and he had \u201cno idea what to expect.\u201d He further noted that he didn\u2019t anticipate the panel to \u201cambush\u201d him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wasn\u2019t expecting necessarily for her to kind of try to ambush me in that way and attack my character in that way and I responded to it in the moment as I do, and I didn\u2019t expect it to go as viral as it did, but I think it arguably went more viral than anything I\u2019ve ever done,\u201d Hughes said on \u201cThe Joe Rogan Experience.\u201d He further claimed that Hostin approached the conversation with an \u201cagenda.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, their audience is not really their audience,\u201d Rogan said, weighing in on the daytime talk show. \u201cTheir audience is a group of people they bring in to watch television shows.\u201d At one point during the discussion about \u201cThe View,\u201d Rogan said, \u201cThey get so much hate-watching and hate-watching viral clips of them saying ridiculous things, I mean it is a rabies infested henhouse.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
