Hollywood actor George Clooney is reportedly \u201cfurious\u201d with former President Barack Obama for using him as a \u201cpatsy\u201d in the shadowy plot to oust President Biden this past summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge is furious with Obama for disappearing after the election disaster and leaving him holding the bag for pushing the plan with his Hollywood pals,\u201d an unnamed entertainment industry source close to the A-list actor\u00a0told\u00a0Radaronline.\u00a0\u201cGeorge feels duped and vows he\u2019s not going to be anyone\u2019s political water boy anymore,\u201d another source told the outlet.<\/p>\n

Just weeks after heading a Hollywood fundraiser for Biden\u2019s re-election campaign, Clooney emerged as a major player in the political arena when he\u00a0called on\u00a0the president to step down in an op-ed titled \u201cI Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,\u201d in the\u00a0New York Times<\/em>. The devastating op-ed was published not long after Biden\u2019s disastrous debate performance back in June.<\/p>\n

Biden ultimately did indeed step aside, at which point reports began to surface concerning a behind-the-scenes plot spearheaded by Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).<\/p>\n

Obama, a longtime friend of Clooney\u2019s,\u00a0reportedly \u201cgreen-lit\u201d the article\u00a0in order to apply pressure on his former running mate. The former president had hoped that pressure from Hollywood actors \u2014 who had provided a significant portion of Biden\u2019s war chest \u2014 would convince Biden that fundraising was drying up.<\/p>\n

According to multiple reports from a wide range of outlets \u2014 as well as\u00a0numerous confirmations from Pelosi \u2014 plot organizers had hoped for an \u201copen primary process\u201d in which a New Democratic Party nominee would be selected at the party\u2019s convention in August. Obama was\u00a0reportedly \u201cfurious\u201d\u00a0with Biden\u2019s decision to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, as the former president had intended to throw his weight behind Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) at the convention, which took place in his hometown of Chicago.<\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s decision to endorse Harris was described as a \u201cf**k you\u201d to Biden and Pelosi for forcing him out, according to a report from the\u00a0New York Post<\/em>\u00a0citing sources close to the Biden family.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath of Harris\u2019 crushing defeat, Clooney feels that he has been made into a scapegoat.\u00a0\u201cGeorge feels he stepped up and took a bullet for the team, and now everyone\u2019s complaining about the bloodbath,\u201d another source told RadarOnline.<\/p>\n

\u201cLots of celebrities, like Beyonc\u00e9, were on the campaign trail pumping up Kamala, but George became the face of the Hollywood liberals by directly calling for Biden to end his campaign and throwing the whole process into chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n
