\u201cEmily told me to give you this if something ever happened to her. I didn\u2019t know where to find you, and I wasn\u2019t ready. But you need to read it.\u201d<\/p>\n

I stared at the envelope, my hands trembling as I took it. My name was written on the front in Emily\u2019s handwriting. Tears blurred my vision. \u201cWhat is this?\u201d I whispered, my voice barely audible.<\/p>\n
