Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman blamed former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after the Democrats were walloped in the 2024 elections.<\/p>\n
During an interview with Politico, Fetterman went after Pelosi when asked if he thought President Joe Biden should have dropped out of the race after the terrible debate with Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople like [Nancy] Pelosi, she really tried to \u2014 what\u2019s the word I\u2019m looking for? \u2014 she embraced this \u2018she\u2019s the godmother, she\u2019s the enforcer.\u2019 And now she\u2019s blaming Biden,\u201d Fetterman said, holding nothing back while blaming Pelosi for trying to pull power moves.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, you can\u2019t have it both ways. You got what you wanted,\u201d he added, referring to Biden\u2019s ouster and the installment of Kamala Harris, \u201cand now you\u2019re still blaming Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n
Democrats have split into various feuding factions and are blaming one another for their failure to retake the House of Representatives, their loss of the Senate, and their defeat by Trump in the presidential race. <\/p>\n
Pelosi has claimed that Biden should not immediately have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and suggested that the decision led to her embarrassing defeat.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s really ironic that you have a woman at age 84, and she is still hanging on. Why not give a younger generation an opportunity to occupy that seat?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
He then spoke out against Harris and other Democrats who say Trump followers are \u201cfascists\u201d because of their political views.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love people that are absolutely going to vote for Trump. They\u2019re not fascists. They\u2019re not those things. I think if you go to the tickle switch, use those kinds of terms, then it\u2019s kind of hard to walk back on those things,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s kind of a word that really isn\u2019t part of the vernacular for voters. Scolding harder or clutching the pearls harder, that\u2019s never going to work for Democrats,\u201d Fetterman concluded.<\/p>\n
