Tributes are pouring in after the death of 17-year-old Texas student Austin Metcalf, who passed away after being stabbed at a track and field event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As per tragic\u00a0reports<\/a>, Frisco Police and Fire were called to an incident in the 6900 block of Stadium Lane at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco,\u00a0Texas on Wednesday, April 2.<\/p>\n

It has since come to light that authorities were alerted to \u201can altercation between two students\u201d which \u201cresulted in one stabbing the other\u201d. The victim was 17-year-old Austin, who was at the track and field event with his twin brother.<\/p>\n

No sooner had word of the shocking incident found its way to social media did users pay tribute to the teen, while loved ones spoke about the \u201csenseless\u201d attack.<\/p>\n

Austin\u2019s final post on X, written on March 31, has taken on particular poignance in the wake of his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cFaith that\u00a0god\u00a0got me and my work will pay off,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the student wrote.<\/p>\n
