I (33) and husband (36) had our 18-month-old daughter looked after by my mother-in-law for the first time.<\/p>\n

Even though I was worried about it, we had no other option for a babysitter that evening, so we asked her to help out. She agreed and wanted to bring her daughter (29) along.<\/p>\n

For context, it\u2019s important to note that I am vegan, a lifestyle choice my husband adopted too after marrying me. Together, we decided to raise our daughter as a vegan as well. This decision has never sat well with my MIL, who frequently criticizes our dietary preferences<\/p>\n
