Is there anything more\u00a0embarrassing\u00a0than accidentally taking a spill in front of someone\u2014let alone\u00a0on live TV? Joy Behar accidentally fell out of her seat on a live episode of\u00a0The View, hitting the ground with a bang.<\/p>\n
Behar\u2019s co-hosts immediately rushed to her side to help her off the ground, right before moderator Whoopi Goldberg retorted, \u201cThese chairs move!\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s \u201chappened to all of us at one time or another,\u201d said Sunny Hostin, with Behar immediately following up with: \u201c25 years, that has never happened [to me].\u201d The crowd went crazy over that one.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho do I sue?\u201d the 79-year-old continued. \u201cMy husband is home laughing, I bet.\u201d<\/p>\n
She\u2019s a comedian!<\/p>\n
So what exactly happened here? After she finally got settled into her seat, Behar explained that she just went \u201cflying.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sara Haines noted that the chairs are really \u201chigh,\u201d and then Goldberg made a joke about how it \u201ctakes a glass of wine to get into the chair.\u201d<\/p>\n
After Goldberg asked Behar if she was okay, Behar responded with: \u201cI just missed the step, as usual.\u201d<\/p>\n
The jokes continued as the show began. Goldberg made a joke that the hosts were texting before the show accusing Haines of tripping Behar, but that wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, I did not trip her. Today,\u201d said Haines.<\/p>\n
The conversation did eventually take a turn to discuss some of the serious ramifications that can come of falling\u2014and not just embarrassment. Since Bob Saget recently died of head trauma after he hit his head, that was a point that came up.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, you know, I fall a lot. The main thing, just to talk seriously, when Bob Saget fell, he died. If you hit your head and you feel dizzy or you have blurred vision or you feel like you want to go to sleep, go to the doctor because that will kill you,\u201d Behar said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I\u2019ve fallen a lot. I fall all the time. I\u2019m a klutz!\u201d she added. \u201cBut this chair, this chair was like the exorcist. It was spring!\u201d<\/p>\n
Moral of the story: Take your time when sitting down\u2014especially if you\u2019re live on the air, and especially when the chairs are extra high!<\/p>\n
