I even left out party supplies, snacks, and a special $400 LEGO set for my nephew, Ethan. Her sweet messages during the day made me feel like the best aunt ever. But everything altered when I came home early and saw decorations that didn\u2019t match a seven-year-old\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

Instead of balloons and toys, there was a pink-and-white balloon arch, glittery confetti, wine bottles, and a banner commending someone named Jessica on her baby. That\u2019s when it hi:t me \u2014 my sister hadn\u2019t thrown a birthday party at all.<\/p>\n
She had led a baby shower for a stranger, using my home without telling me. To make matters worse, a neighbor mentioned Jessica had paid Sue $900 for the event \u2014 including catering, which Sue secretly applied my money to cover. When I faced her, she brushed it off. \u201cYou weren\u2019t home anyway,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
I was amazed \u2014 not by the party itself, but by her blatant disregard for trust and honesty.<\/strong><\/h2>\n
