I used to work at a small fast-food restaurant in town. One evening, a customer accidentally left a beautiful Louis Vuitton bag on one of the tables. It was clearly something valuable, so I quickly picked it up and placed it in our lost and found, hoping the owner would return soon. Days turned into weeks, and no one ever came back to claim it.
