Every Christmas, he\u00a0makes a\u00a0separate pan of\u00a0lasagna or\u00a0baked ziti with gluten-free pasta for\u00a0me, crushes Rice Chex for breadcrumbs for the meatballs, etc. He\u00a0(and my\u00a0mom) made sure\u00a0I would never have to\u00a0eat that food.\u00a0\u00a9\u00a0IllyriaGodKing\u00a0\/ Reddit<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Story 8:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I\u00a0stayed over in\u00a0February, the night before driving up\u00a0to\u00a0Liverpool from London. I\u00a0was setting off at\u00a0half 5\u00a0in\u00a0the morning and expected to\u00a0be\u00a0up\u00a0and out by\u00a0myself.<\/p>\n<p>My\u00a0dad woke up\u00a0half an\u00a0hour before me\u00a0and, while\u00a0I was getting ready, went out to\u00a0de-ice my\u00a0car and drove it\u00a0around a\u00a0bit so\u00a0that it\u00a0was warm when\u00a0I got\u00a0in. It\u00a0was something he\u00a0didn\u2019t think twice about (when\u00a0I thanked him, he\u00a0was like, \u201cThat\u2019s what dads\u00a0do\u201d), but it\u00a0meant a\u00a0lot to\u00a0me\u00a0and just sums him up\u2014little things like that make him the best\u2026 to\u00a0me.\u00a0\u00a9\u00a0Unknown author\u00a0\/ Reddit<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Story 9:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I\u00a0cannot imagine the world where they are not the last thing that\u00a0I see before I\u00a0go to\u00a0sleep and the first thing that\u00a0I see when they wake up\u00a0in\u00a0the morning and call\u00a0me, \u201cDaddy!\u201d, which means that\u00a0I have to\u00a0pick them up\u00a0from their beds and\u00a0I carry them to\u00a0the living room.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0also cannot imagine not being able to\u00a0walk with them often and do\u00a0crazy things that only three boys (that\u2019d be\u00a0me\u00a0and the two of\u00a0them) can\u00a0do. I\u2019m their buddy, shelter, and protector from harm.<\/p>\n<p>Their mother\u2014my wife\u2014pretty much doesn\u2019t divorce me\u00a0because\u00a0I provide well for the\u00a0family, and they are all socially secure, and the kids love\u00a0me. I\u00a0don\u2019t have warm feelings for her, either. I\u00a0hang in\u00a0there because\u00a0I cannot stand being without them. He\u00a0came out of\u00a0the house an\u00a0hour later and announced we\u00a0were going to\u00a0Burger King. When we\u00a0got back home, he\u00a0sent\u00a0us straight to\u00a0bed.<br \/>\nLater that night, when\u00a0I was creeping out of\u00a0bed to\u00a0get some water, I\u00a0found the kitchen\u00a0<i>destroyed.<\/i>\u00a0There was flour everywhere, something unidentifiable burnt in\u00a0a\u00a0pan sitting on\u00a0the stove, the refrigerator door was left open, the sink was loaded with all kinds of\u00a0bowls and pots, he\u00a0even managed to\u00a0get what looked like jelly on\u00a0the floor with a\u00a0footprint in\u00a0it.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0snuck past his room on\u00a0my\u00a0way back to\u00a0bed, and\u00a0I heard him crying.
