I teach 2-year-olds, and every day brings a new surprise. One morning, during circle time, I decided to learn more about my students\u2019 families. I asked one little boy, \u201cWhat\u2019s your mommy\u2019s name?\u201d Without hesitation, he replied, \u201cMichelle.\u201d Smiling, I continued, \u201cAnd what\u2019s your daddy\u2019s name?\u201d He frowned slightly, deep in thought, clearly unsure of the answer. He paused for a moment, eyes looking toward the ceiling as if replaying the scenes from his home. Later, as I thought about it, I realized how much children absorb from the world around them. They may not always remember our names or titles, but they remember the tone of our voices, the kindness in our actions, and the laughter in our homes.
