In the town of Santa Fe, Argentina, 46-year-old Lujan Eroles made a startling discovery that led to her screams, drawing the attention of her neighbors. She described the bizarre creature she found as resembling a snake but with strange eyes, sparking fear of potential poison.

The creature, captured on video by Eroles, shares the coloration of a snake but is only 10 centimeters long. After posting the video online, speculations about its species emerged.

It turns out that this creature is likely a caterpillar from a rare moth species in Central America. These caterpillars lack defensive mechanisms and mimic the appearance of snakes to deter predators.

Eroles’ encounter with this unique caterpillar caused quite a stir, as the creature’s deceptive appearance fascinated many.
