America is set to be hit by ANOTHER hurricane – here’s the projected path !🚨🌪️ Read more:👇👇

A rare Hurricane in November is barreling toward the US and could hit as early as this weekend.

Storm Rafael was upgraded to a Category 2 hurricane today and could make landfall anywhere from the Texas coast to the Florida Panhandle.

The storm expected to hit western Cuba and the Isle of Youth within the next 12 hours…

According to the latest reports, Rafael is expected to hit western Cuba and the Isle of Youth within the next 12 hours, bringing heavy rain, high winds, and dangerous storm surges to the region.

From there, according to experts, Rafael will emerge into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico tonight as a hurricane.

Tropical storm conditions are anticipated in Florida Keys, with the National Hurricane Center (NHC) issuing a warning to residents.

American people have been advised to secure loose outdoor objects due to strong winds and flooding.

According to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bill Deger, small changes in Rafael’s strength and the winds around it can make a big difference in where it goes next.

The storm gets a bit stronger or if the winds that push it change direction, its path could shift.

A spaghetti model – so-called because the lines resemble strands of pasta – revealed Rafael has four possible paths to the US, but has the highest probability of making landfall in Louisiana.

As of 10:00am ET, Rafael was located roughly 130 miles south-southeast of Havana and tracking northwest at 14 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph

Yet, the NHC has issued a tropical storm wa:rn:ing for the Lower and Middle Florida Keys today, as Rafael could deliver up to three inches of rainfall and increase tornado risk as it passes by the Sunshine State.

‘Bands of rain containing gusty winds will impact this area through Wednesday night. A few tornadoes cannot be ruled out in the Keys and far southwestern Florida as well,’ The Weather Channel reported.

As per The NHC, it’s still too early to determine when and how Rafael will have effects on the Gulf Coast of the US, but residents should continue to monitor the forecast for updates.

As of 10:00am ET, Rafael was located roughly 130 miles south-southeast of Havana and tracking northwest at 14 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 110 mph, according to the NHC.

A hurricane wa:rn:ing is in effect for this region, and locals should brace for ‘damaging hurricane-force winds, life-threatening storm surge and destructive waves,’ according to the advisory.

The NHC stated that the storm will also drop heavy rain over parts of the Western Caribbean through early Thursday, including Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and western Cuba.

Once the system moves into the Gulf of Mexico, Rafael is expected to weaken as the environment becomes increasingly less conducive for the hurricane to maintain its intensity, the NHC stated.

‘It is also possible Rafael is torn apart by strong winds high in the atmosphere and dissipates in the Gulf of Mexico before making landfall,’ Deger said.

An alternate path prediction has Rafael tracking westward across the Gulf instead of heading north toward the US. If that happens, the impact to the US would be minimal, according to AccuWeather.

A hurricane warning is in effect for Cuba, and locals should brace for ‘damaging hurricane-force winds, life-threatening storm surge and destructive waves’

As per The Weather Channel, if Rafael weakens, but remains intact, and turns toward the northern Gulf Coast, it could enhance rainfall along a cold front this weekend into early next week

Rafael is the 17th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season in 2024.

While it is not expected to directly impact Florida, tropical storm conditions could put added strain on local communities still reeling from hurricanes Helene and Milton, which ravaged the state within two weeks of each other.

These storms led to widespread damage in the Sunshine State, k_illing an estimated combined total of 54 people.

As per the Office of Insurance Regulation, estimated insurance claims as a result of both Helene and Milton have exceeded $4 billion in Florida.

The National Hurricane Center is tracking Category 2 Hurricane Rafael as it moves northwest through the Caribbean with potential to impact the Gulf of Mexico this week

Though this storm is not expected to directly impact Florida, a tropical storm warning has been issued for the Lower and Middle Florida Keys

As Rafael tracks toward the US, Floridians are advised to regularly monitor updates to the weather forecast, the NHC advised.

It is very rare for hurricanes to hit the US in November.

That’s because this is the last month of the Atlantic hurricane season, and favorable conditions for tropical storm formation have decreased.

A total of 287 hurricanes have made landfall in the US since record keeping began in 1851, and of those, only four hit in November, per the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) database.

The most recent one – Hurricane Nicole – hit Florida in November 2022. Before that, the US hadn’t seen a November hurricane since Katie in 1985.

Rafael is the strongest hurricane to move through the northwestern Caribbean in November since 2009, as per NOAA.

As the storm closes in on Cuba, experts believe it’s possible that it could still strengthen into a Category 3 hurricane before making landfall.

Nine storms – including Rafael – have rapidly intensified in the Atlantic basin this year, fueled by unprecedentedly high ocean temperatures.

Rapid storm intensification is becoming more common as the atmosphere and oceans warm because of climate change, according to NOAA.

MY LANDLORD RAISED MY RENT BECAUSE I GOT A PROMOTION—BIG MISTAKE MESSING WITH A SINGLE WORKING MOM OF THREE I’m a single mom of three—4, 7, and 11—and work full-time in logistics. We live in a modest two-bedroom rental. My kids share a room; I sleep on a pull-out couch. Not ideal, but it’s safe and close to school and work. Our landlord, Frank, thinks owning property makes him a genius. Ignores texts, delays repairs, and once said, “You should be grateful you’ve got a place at all with all those kids.” Still, I stayed. The rent kept creeping up, but it was manageable—until my promotion. After eight years of showing up early and never using sick days, I became operations manager. The raise wasn’t huge, but it meant I could finally say yes to little things for kids—field trips, cereal that isn’t store brand, shoes that fit. I posted a small LinkedIn update: “Proud to say I’ve been promoted to Operations Manager. Hard work pays off.” Two days later, I got this email: “Rental Adjustment Notice.” Frank was raising my rent by $500. No improvements. No reason. Just: “Saw your little promotion post—congrats! Figured now’s the perfect time to squeeze a bit more out of you.” I called him. “Why now?” His response: “You wanted a career and a bunch of kids—that comes with bills. You’re not broke anymore, so don’t expect charity. This is business, not a daycare.” Now, I could’ve gone to housing services. I could’ve called a lawyer. But I had a better idea. One that would cost me nothing… and teach Frank everything. I knew two things about Frank: 1. He was lazy. ⬇️⬇️ (Continues in comment)

MY PARENTS SAID SHE’S “TOO BIG” FOR ME—BUT THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M ABOUT TO DO So here’s how the last Sunday dinner went down. I brought my fiancée, Mallory, over to meet my parents officially. She’s tall, broad-shouldered, platinum blonde, and yeah—she’s not a size two. But Mallory’s the warmest, sharpest, most loyal person I’ve ever met. She lights up every room she walks into, even if she doesn’t fit into whatever narrow box people expect. My mom barely smiled when she hugged her. My dad wouldn’t even look her in the eye. The whole meal felt like sitting on top of a powder keg. Then, as soon as Mallory stepped out to take a call, my mom leaned in like she couldn’t wait. She said, dead serious, “Honey… you sure you want to marry someone that big? You’re a small guy. It’s not a good match.” My dad chimed in, talking about “health” and how I’d “resent it later.” I felt like the table flipped upside down. I couldn’t even process it at first. I just stared at them, thinking about how Mallory always cooks for me when I’m stressed, how she pays attention to every little thing I like, how she’s the first person I’ve ever felt completely safe with. I didn’t argue. I didn’t defend her. I just said nothing. (continues in the first comment🗨️⬇️
