I Secretly Got Rid of My Stepdaughter’s Cat to Protect My Daughter

Managing the superfamily is tough, particularly right after moving in together. Naomi’s stepdaughter has a deep connection to her cat, while Naomi’s daughter is extremely afraid of it. Although her husband declined to give up the animal, Naomi took an extreme step, leading to a surprising outcome.

Naomi’s letter:
My stepdaughter got attached to her cat after her mom’s d3ath. But my daughter is afraid of cats and we just moved in. My husband refused to give it away, saying, “My daughter’s happiness comes first.” So, I secretly sold it.

Next day, I heard my daughter cry. I went up and saw a horrific sight in my daughter’s room. Turns out my husband had brought 3 cats, and they were on her bed. Needless to say, my child was terrified and panicking.

I froze when I saw my husband laugh when I confronted him. He told me that this would teach my daughter how not to act irresponsibly like her mother because actions have consequences.

It’s been two days now, and those three cats are still in the house. My daughter is still very afraid, even more than before, and I am seriously considering ending our relationship over this.

Do you think I really acted irresponsibly, or should I get a divorce from this man whom I loved so much?
