After realizing that their daughter’s life could be saved, the parents of Ryleigh Hillcoat-Bee, a three-year-old who passed away from a rare disease, are furious.The young girl had rhabdomyolysis, a condition that causes muscles to break down. Complications from the illness, which affects one in 200,000 people in the UK, caused her death.Before releasing her from the hospital following a five-day stay, Blackpool and Fylde coroner Alan Wilson concluded that the medics treating her had overlooked the “red flags.”
