A television presenter is under a whole lot of scrutiny after making some pretty insensitive comments about the Princess of Wales. She is Narinder Kaur, a panelist on Good Morning Britain in a post on November 10, 2024.
Here’s what she said.
Although the tweet seems to have been deleted, screenshots of it are still circulating. In it, Narinder shared a curiosity. “Genuine question- why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42?” the 52-year-old presenter questioned. “Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation.” And of course, the backlash instantly came rolling in.
People were sh0cked.
“This is the Most reprehensible att:a:ck on a woman battling canc3r imaginable,” one person commented. “Heartless and vile comment,” another person shared. “And misses the point that Princess of Wales is attending a solemn service of remembrance, not a garden party. Of course she wouldn’t be smiling and dancing.”
Narinder replied quickly at many of the comments.
She eventually released a video statement.
“I put out a stupid tweet. That wasn’t my intention, my intention was not to be malicious or nasty or anything. I’m not like that, anybody who knows me. It was stupid to ask about the aging. I’ve admitted that, I’ve put my hands up and apologized if it caused offense,” Narinder said in part.
