7 Dead, 37 Injured After Bus Cras hes on Mississippi Interstate

A bus ac.ci.de.n.t on Interstate 20 near Bovina, Mississippi, on Saturday, August 31, resulted in seven d.eaths, including a child, and numerous injuries. The crash occurred when a tire on a 2018 Volvo commercial bus carrying 47 passengers blew out, causing the bus to roll onto its side. Six people were .kil.l.e.d at the scene,while one later di e d in the hospital.

Among the vi.ctims were an 8-year-old child and a 16-year-old girl. Over 30 injured passengers were taken to Merit Health Emergency Room.The Vicksburg Fire Department and American Medical Response responded quickly to the scene. Fire Chief Derrick Stamps praised the emergency responders for their dedication and teamwork, expressing gratitude for the community’s efforts in handling the tragedy.
