While the results were imperfect—half-boiled pasta and mishandled laundry—he gained a new appreciation for his mom’s efforts.

When the week ended, the son voluntarily apologized to his mom and started helping out more around the house. While the boy’s grandmother criticized the punishment as excessive, the father believed it was effective in teaching respect and gratitude.
