Quick Thinking on the Highway

We were driving in my family’s station wagon in the middle of the night when our tire blew.

My dad didn’t stop and kept driving on the flat at a high speed.

Eventually, the tire wore down and fell off and we were riding on the rim.

Something was not right.

Later my dad told us that he saw a man who threw a strip of nails into the middle of the highway, which was impossible to avoid.

It was done to rob and carjack the drivers. My dad was aware of it and responded accordingly.
