Whipped this up for a party, and my friends wouldn’t stop talking about it.. Full recipe 👇 💬

This slow cooker southern style goulash is a comforting meal that’s perfect for family dinners or potlucks. With its rich blend of ground beef, tender pasta,

and savory tomatoes, it’s a dish that warms the heart and the belly. Originating from Southern American cuisine, this recipe has a unique twist compared to

the Hungarian version, using ingredients that are simple and pantry-friendly. It’s a classic comfort food that brings back memories of my grandma’s kitchen, and I’m delighted to share it with you. It’s perfect

for those busy days when you want to come home to a ready meal.
This goulash pairs wonderfully with a simple side salad or some steamed green beans to add a bit of color and

freshness to your meal. If you’re looking to be extra indulgent, serve it with warm cornbread or garlic bread to soak up all the flavorful sauce. A glass of sweet iced tea or lemonade makes the meal truly Southern.

Slow Cooker Southern Style Goulash
Servings: 6

Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups beef broth
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Directions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease.
2. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
3. Transfer the beef and vegetable mixture to your slow cooker.

4. Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
5. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.

6. About 30 minutes before serving, add the uncooked elbow macaroni to the slow cooker and stir well.
7. Cook until the pasta is tender and has absorbed some of the sauce, about 30 minutes.
8. If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top before serving.
Variations & Tips
If you have picky eaters, you can sneak in some extra veggies like finely chopped carrots or zucchini without altering the flavor too much. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce. You can swap ground beef for ground turkey for a lighter version of this dish. Finally, for a gluten-free option, use gluten-free pasta and ensure the beef broth is also gluten-free.
