How My Best Friend Tried to Cross a Line While I Was in Labor

I have a best friend of 20 years. I went into labor and was taken to the maternity hospital. I let her know right away. While I was in labor, she was texting my husband, “Hi, you must be worried.

Do you want me to come over and we’ll worry together?” She didn’t know that my husband was with me the whole time.

Their texting ended with my husband texting her no. I don’t know how to find an excuse for what she did.

I can’t believe she would want to do such a despicable thing. My husband swears it was the first time she ever texted him. But still.
