Raynaud’s disease, or Raynaud’s phenomenon, causes extremities like fingers and toes to change color (white or red) in response to cold, stress, or anxiety due to reduced blood flow. Symptoms include numbness, pins and needles, and discomfort, sometimes affecting areas like the nose, ears,or lips. While usually not serious, severe pain or interference with daily life warrants a doctor’s visit. Common in women and often beginning in adolescence, it affects up to 20% of adults worldwide and can sometimes be linked to other conditions or medications
