Instead of scrapping the performance, the country superstar proved to the world how well she works under pressure and delivered a stunning acapella rendition of the patriotic standard.

In the clip above, Underwood says, “If you know the words, help me out here,” inviting everyone in attendance to sing with her. Then, she led a room full of some of the most powerful people in the United States in song.
