Mel injured his hand, prompting them to alert the store manager, who immediately had all carts inspected, finding no additional blades. The police proposed that it could be a malicious prank or a tool used by shoplifters to remove security tags. This isnāt the first occurrence; a similar incident happened in 2015 in North Dakota. The Johnsons are thankful Melās injury wasnāt severe, but the situation could have been much worse, especially if children were involved or if the blade had rusted.
