Unexpected Encounter in the Bathroom

He reached for the light switch, surprised to feel what seemed like another hand already there. Startled, he pulled back,

hesitating for a moment before reaching out again. This time, the switch was clear, and there was no sign of anyone else.

Perplexed and slightly unnerved, he quickly turned on the light and scanned the bathroom, finding no one around.

“It’s probably just my imagination,” he muttered under his breath, trying to shake off the strange encounter.

The room was dimly lit, and he couldn’t quite explain what he had felt moments earlier. Despite the unease gnawing at him, he shrugged it off and finished what he came to do.

After washing his hands, he took another glance around the small bathroom, as if expecting something to suddenly appear.

But again, there was nothing. Trying to reassure himself, he said, “I’m just tired. It’s been a long day.” With that, he turned off the light and left the room.

As he slipped back into bed, the peculiar experience lingered in his mind. He couldn’t help but replay the moment over and over,

wondering if there had actually been someone—or something—in the room with him. Though he tried to dismiss the thought,

the uneasiness stayed with him for the rest of the night, making sleep difficult to come by.
