Ellen DeGeneres takes a major step in cutting ties with the US

Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, decided to leave the U.S. after Trump’s 2024 presidential win and settle in the Cotswolds, England.

They bought an $18 million property, following the sale of their California home for $29.9 million.

They also sold their two-bedroom bungalow in Montecito for $5.2 million after receiving multiple offers.

Their move to England hasn’t been without challenges, including flooding and complaints about construction work.

However, they’ve found a new property they like after visiting it several times, seeking one similar to their California home.
