A Love Tested Overnight

My boyfriend proposed to me. I was over the moon and said yes. The next day, he approached me and said,

“Sorry, I think I’ve made a hasty decision. I’m not ready

for marriage yet.” He also asked me to give him back the ring. I was floored.

I returned the ring without a word, packed my things, and left.

The next day, I realized I’d left something in his house, so I went back to his place.

He didn’t expect to see me. I opened the door and saw that he was

laughing and chatting with his ex. I quickly grabbed my stuff and stormed out.

He tried explaining, but I didn’t listen. I still love him but I’m also so hurt.
