The nine-time Oscar winner died today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Beverly Hills

Richard M. Sherman, the Disney songwriter behind classics like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and

“It’s a Small World,” has died at 95 from age-related illness.

He passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills.

Sherman and his brother, Robert, won nine Oscars and two Grammys for their work on films like Mary Poppins,

Chitty Bang Bang, and Winnie the Pooh. In 2008, they received the National Medal of Arts.

Richard is survived by his wife Elizabeth and their children.

A private funeral will be held, with a public service announced later.
