FBI reopens investigation into White House cocaine scandal

In a surprising move, the FBI has reopened its investigation into the mysterious bag of cocaine found in the White House in July 2023. Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino confirmed on May 26 that this case, along with others like the 2021 D.C. pipe bombing and the Dobbs leak, is now receiving renewed attention and weekly briefings.

The cocaine was discovered in a cubby near the West Wing entrance—an area used by staff and visitors. Although the substance was confirmed as cocaine, investigators found no usable fingerprints or DNA, and no suspects were identified. Over 500 people had access to the area, making it difficult to narrow down.

Former President Donald Trump recently commented on the case, suggesting without evidence that “either Joe or Hunter” Biden could be responsible, despite the family being at Camp David when the drugs were found.

Hunter Biden, who has publicly discussed his past drug addiction, has reportedly been sober since 2019.

With new FBI resources focused on the case, some hope it may finally lead to answers. For now, the mystery remains unsolved.
