Following the discovery of odd bruises on the president’s hand, more embarrassing inquiries concerning his health have been made.
After attempting to conceal the discoloration on his right hand with concealer, Donald Trump—a man who made Joe Biden’s health a campaign theme—is now confronting his own issues.
During his interviews with reporters, Trump sat at the Oval Office’s Resolute Desk and seemed to be covering the back of his right hand with his left hand.
Trump and the White House have maintained that he is in “excellent health” and that the frequent handshakes are the cause of the recurrent bruise.
According to Trump’s physician, Sean Barbabella, “this is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”
Trump issued an executive order on Monday mandating that the Justice Department look into and bring charges against those responsible for burning the American flag.
Burning the star-spangled banner “incites riots at levels we’ve never seen before,” according to Trump, who said Monday that some people are “going crazy” over it and others are angry at those who do so. He gave no examples.
Trump blasted the media for failing to give him credit for his National Guard-backed immigration and crime crackdown in a long speech at the White House.
“They claim that we don’t require him. Freedom, freedom. He is a tyrant. He is a tyrant. Trump told reporters that many people are saying, “Maybe we like a dictator.”
However, he persisted, saying, “I dislike dictators.” I’m not in charge. I’m a smart man with excellent common sense.
This week, the US president showed up with a dubious smudge on his right hand, which was thought to be makeup covering a big bruise.
The 79-year-old was at the People’s House museum in Washington, DC, viewing an exhibit when the incident occurred.
Trump kept his left hand folded over his right during a World Cup event later that day in the Oval Office, but when he stood up, the makeup was visible.
This comes after the Republican, who maintains that he is in “excellent” shape, was photographed earlier this month with significantly swollen ankles.
How has Trump’s health been discussed?
Speculation regarding Trump’s health and the extent to which his team will go to preserve his reputation has only increased as a result of these incidents.
As usual, the White House has dismissed worries about his health.
Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary, seemed to dismiss worries, restating the position that handshakes are the source of bruises.
She claimed that the president is a man of the people and shakes hands with more Americans every day than any other president in history.
“He demonstrates his unwavering commitment every single day.”
What illness did Trump have?
The president has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a benign condition that is fairly common in people over 70, according to information released by the White House last month.
Increased leg pain, skin problems, swelling, and bloated ankles are some of its symptoms.
Leavitt claimed that he was not uncomfortable with his condition, but he did not elaborate on his course of treatment.
The press secretary has previously justified Trump’s severe hand bruises by citing “shaking hands daily.”
When he met with French President Emmanuel Macron in February, his right hand appeared to be bruised once more, which sparked online rumors about his health.
