Person of Interest in Charlie Kirk Case Spotted near Campus Minutes Before Incident — New Video Released

A man dressed in black with a noticeable limp was caught on security cameras near Utah Valley University (UVU) just minutes before a tragic incident involving conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The man, now labeled a person of interest, was seen walking toward the campus at 11:51 a.m. on September 10, 2025. FBI officials confirmed he entered the campus by 11:52 a.m. Later footage shows him earlier that morning in the same outfit and later running from the area shortly after the incident.

The video quickly went viral, with social media users speculating about his limp and movements. Many suggested he may have been disguising himself, while others questioned how he was able to leave so quickly.The FBI’s Salt Lake City Field Office has released photos of the individual and is offering a $100,000 reward for information. He was seen wearing a dark cap, sunglasses, a long-sleeve shirt with an American flag graphic, and a black backpack.

Authorities also recovered a firearm and other evidence, including footprints and palm prints, from a nearby wooded area. More than 130 tips have been submitted so far.Charlie Kirk had been speaking to nearly 3,000 attendees at UVU when the event occurred. Just moments before, he was answering questions about mass attacks in the U.S. Witnesses described panic as the crowd scattered. Attendee Skyler Baird recalled helping others escape, saying,

“My first thought was survival, but then I turned to help others get out safely.”While the motive is still unclear, the FBI stressed the importance of protecting free speech and public safety. Special Agent Robert Bohls said, “Any attack on the First Amendment is an attack on the foundation of our democracy.” Investigators are urging anyone with information, photos, or videos to come forward as the search for the suspect continues.
