Greta had spent years supporting her husband Rett’s career, moving cities, giving up her graphic design studio, and hosting countless dinners to help him succeed. When Rett told her to serve food and hide in their room during an important work dinner, something inside her shifted. She handed him divorce papers she had already prepared, telling him that his dismissive behavior was a pattern she no longer intended to endure. Without raising her voice, she walked away, ready to start over.

In the weeks that followed, Greta rebuilt her life on her own terms. She turned Rett’s former study into her own studio and focused on her clients, her creativity, and herself. When the divorce was finalized, she sent Rett one final message: “If you treat someone like wallpaper, don’t be surprised when they decide to leave the room.” Greta had finally stepped into a life where she belonged — and this time, no one could make her disappear.
