PART 2 : -When I arrived at my son’s wedding, he came out to greet me and said, “Dad, I didn’t invite you.

I didn’t go back. I drove home, sat in silence, and waited. Fifteen minutes later, my phone lit up. Diego. I let it ring. Then the messages started pouring in—confused, panicked, desperate. “Dad, what is this?” “Please answer.” “There must be a mistake.” I replied with just one line: “There’s no mistake. Enjoy your wedding.”

At exactly 4:45 p.m., everything I had prepared months earlier reached him. The first document—a new will. Everything I owned was gone from his future. My house, my savings, my insurance… all redirected to a foundation. He would inherit nothing.

The second document was worse. A full legal demand for repayment. Every peso I had ever given him—tuition, loans, support—itemized and documented. The third removed my guarantees from his life. His apartment, his business, his car—everything I had backed was now exposed. The banks could come for him at any moment.

Then came the fourth—my shares in his company, sold to a competitor. And finally, the fifth document… a letter. I told him I knew everything. That I had heard how he planned to erase me. That this wasn’t revenge—it was closure. The moment he chose to walk away from me… I simply made it official.-
