THE MEMORY CARD EXPOSED THE TRUTH THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD BURIED

On my son’s first birthday, I carried him to Emily’s favorite bench beside the lake. It was the peaceful place she had always loved most.

As we sat together, I told him about the incredible woman who loved him long before he entered the world. I promised that he would always know her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

I quietly thanked Emily for leaving behind the recordings that gave her a voice after she was gone. Her courage had uncovered the truth when no one else could.

My son wrapped his tiny fingers around mine and laughed into the warm summer breeze. In that moment, I understood that although they had stolen my chance to say goodbye, they could never erase the truth or the love Emily left behind
