During One Of The Hardest Moments Of My Life A Stranger Left Me With Something I Could Hold Onto

The room felt unnaturally quiet after everything happened, as if even sound was giving space to grief. At home, I kept the item, unsure why it mattered yet unable to part with it. In the weeks that followed, grief came in waves—sometimes sharp, sometimes soft. Slowly, I realized healing wasn’t about forgetting, but about learning to carry the loss without letting it consume every moment.
