Candace Cameron Bure has been the subject of intense media scrutiny as of late. The actress recently made headlines due to some remarks she made regarding “traditional marriage” that did not sit well with all her fans.

This time, it’s a photo the actress posted with her husband that’s causing a stir.

Valeri Bure, the man Candace Cameron Bure would later marry, and she met at a hockey game in 1994. The two started dating in 1994 and were married on June 22, 1996.

They’ve been married for nearly 20 years, but they still find time for each other and make an effort to maintain their passion for one another.

Seeing the playful side of their marriage in a tale Bure shared on Instagram was a treat. Yet, the actress received considerable reaction from her viewers, who interpreted her humorous attitude as offensive.

And Bure did not retreat even as he received criticism. Instead of backing down, she doubled down by sharing the photo on her timeline. The “sweet and spicy” nature of her relationship with her husband was captured in two photos she posted online. In the second picture, Valerie’s arm is around his wife’s shoulder and his hand is on her chest.

Fans warned her that the photo was inappropriate for a ‘Christian star’ of her stature. Yet, the actress had an answer for her critics. “Sorry if it offended you… I’m actually not sorry,” she said while laughing in a follow-up video shared on her Instagram stories. “I’m glad that we have fun together after so many years.”

She claimed she was only demonstrating the results of a “good and healthy marriage” after 24 years.

“It makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she further explained in her follow-up Instagram story video. “He can touch me any time he wants and I hope he does.”
